Best TV Series: The holidays are fast approaching, which means that December TV schedules are upon us. Indeed, we can expect see lots of different titles coming to our favorite streaming platforms, from the ever-popular Netflix to Prime Video. November 2022 introduced many hits TV series to Amazon’s streaming service, most of which will continue into December. Of course, what’s most exciting about next month’s lineup of TV shows are the new and exciting premieres that are sure to bring viewers in.

Every month, Prime Video adds a slew of original movies and TV series to its ever-growing catalog. For the holiday season, the perfect binge-worthy show is a great way to relax and cozy up on the couch. From the highly anticipated season 3 of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to the premiere of Alfred Molina’s Three Pines, these are the best TV series coming to Prime Video in December 2022.


Riches Series Premiere — December 2

Created by Abby Ajayi, Riches is an upcoming British TV series that stars Deborah Ayorinde, Hugh Quarshie, and Sarah Niles. The drama series follows Stephen Richards, the creator of cosmetic empire who suddenly suffers a stroke. In a Succession-esque story, Riches dives into the Richards family’s circumstances following Stephen’s stroke, which leads to long-harbored secrets being revealed and the Black-owned family company at risk. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on the December 2.

Three Pines Series Premiere — December 2


Three Pines is a mystery series starring Alfred Molina in the leading role, based on the Chief Inspector Ganache novel series by Louise Penny. Following Inspector Ganache (Molina), the series teases that he sees thing that others do not, effectively blurring the lines between the mystic and the mundane, which results in him solving mysteries while uncovering ghosts of his own (via Amazon Adviser). The show is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 2.

The Bad Guy Series Premiere — December 8

Co-directed by Giancarlo Fontana and Giuseppe Stasi, The Bad Guy is an upcoming Italian-language series that spotlights a Sicilian public prosecutor named Nino Scotellaro (played by Luigi Lo Cascio). Nino has spent all his working life fighting the Mafia in court, but in an unfortunate turn of events suddenly finds himself accused of being part of the mafia himself. The Bad Guy is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 8.

Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge Series Premiere — December 13


Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is an upcoming baking TV show that invites the best bakers in America to use their imagination and talent to create incredible displays inspired by Dr Seuss’ stories and characters. The show will be hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley, and each episode will present a new challenge wherein the contestants’ work will be judged by pastry chef Clarice Lam and pastry chef and cake designer Joshua John Russell. The series can be expected to premiere on December 13 in over 240 countries on Prime Video.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 3 Premeire — December 21

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a series focusing on the titular CIA Analyst Jack Ryan, who is thrown into a very dangerous assignment that places him at the center of a gambit. The series originally premiered in 2018 after being created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland. One of Prime Video’s premiere original series, season 1 of Jack Ryan was a huge success, so it’s no surprise that it was later renewed for several more seasons. John Krasinski stars in the leading role as Dr. Jack Ryan, a Marine veteran and financial analyst working for the Central Intelligence Agency. Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on December 21.
