HIGHLIGHTS

  • Images of the alleged Nothing Phone (2a) leaked on Reddit.
  • But the phone has a case on it so we can’t figure out the rear design.
  • Flipkart has also published a microsite for the Nothing Phone (2a).

Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to debut later this month at MWC 2024. Its specs have leaked online, and Nothing has also teased that its upcoming device will come with the most loved Phone (2) features. But what’s on everyone’s mind is the design of the Nothing Phone (2a). A new leak shows the alleged Nothing Phone (2a) but we’re still unable to figure out the Glyph lights.

Nothing Phone (2a) design leaked

  • Images of the alleged Nothing Phone (2a) were sharedon Reddit. But the phone has a case slapped on it, and one that’s isn’t Nothing-like at all. So we can’t figure out if the Phone (2a) will come with the Glyph Interface or not.
  • We do get a glimpse of its possible camera design from the leaked images. On the Nothing Phone (2a), the rear cameras are placed at the centre, and not on the side like we’ve seen on the Phone (2). There are two camera sensors along with an LED flash on the side.
  • There’s also a small rectangle cutout below the cameras but it’s covered so we can’t figure out what exactly is it.
  • Nothing Phone (2a) would be a cheaper offering of the Phone (2) so the specs and features will be toned down. But without the Glyph Interface, it won’t seem like a Nothing phone.
  • The images have been taken down but they’ve been shared around online quite a bit.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, which is not the newest flagship chipset, powers the smartphone. In an exclusive interview with Tech Today, Nothing CEO Carl Pei explained the decision to use this chipset, saying, “It’s about getting the appropriate type of elements to make the total package extremely nice. Even though we don’t have the newest, highest-spec processor, you could argue that we are still rather powerful. Similar to how we choose the ideal combination of components while cooking a dinner rather than just throwing everything into the pot or on the table.

Well, in a market like India, this might be a brilliant move. A wise choice is one that keeps costs low while providing the performance you require on a daily basis. It provided a fluid gaming experience as I played graphically demanding titles like Asphalt and Genshin Impact.
