  • Vivo is preparing at least two new 5G devices for the global market. These would be the Vivo V40 SE 5G (V2337) and the Vivo Y200e 5G (V2336). The surprising move is the revival of its SE series after more than three years. The brand has recently opted for monikers like Vivo V29 “Lite” or Vivo “V29e” for its lower mid-range V series phones. Another significant change could be jumping directly onto the V40 series from the V30 series, which the brand has not done before.
  • After Bluetooth SIG certification, this is the second marketing name confirmation for the phones. Considering the lack of a “5G” tag in the Vivo V30 SE’s name, it could be a lower-end 4G device. The Vivo V40 SE, on the other hand, could take the place of some other device in Vivo’s popular V series lineupVivo V40 SE 5G.
  • The Vivo Y200e 5G could be a more affordable version of the Vivo Y200 5G, which made its debut in India last year. This device, too, was spottedon Bluetooth SIG certification the previous week.
  • To recall, Vivo Vivo V40 SE 5Glaunched its flagship Vivo X100 series in India at the beginning of 2024. The Vivo V30 series is expected to land soon in multiple global markets, while Malaysia has already gotten its first device from this series in the form of the Vivo V30 Lite 5G.
  • Vivo might change the naming conventions of its V Vivo V40 SE 5Gseries mid-range smartphones.
  • As per a leak, Vivo V30 might be followed by a V40 series smartphone.
  • The Vivo V30 was recently spotted on TDRA certification website.
  • Display: Vivo V40 SE 5GThe smartphone could come with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 2,800 nits peak brightness.
  • Processor: The Vivo V30 might feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with Adreno 720 GPU
  • Vivo S18 Cameras: For photography, the smartphone could come with a 50MP OmniVision OV50E sensor with f/1.88 aperture, OIS, an LED flash, and an 8MP ultra-wide OmniVision OV08D10 sensor.

  • RAM/Storage: The smartphone could come with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
  • OS: Android 14-based OriginOS 4.
  • The Vivo series has been officially teased by the company. There is a dedicated microsite live on the company’s global Philippines website and this has a silhouette and we get a brief idea of the front and rear design. The microsite notes the ‘Vivo series’, which suggests there will be two models like the predecessor, including the Vivo and Vivo . The design on the microsite is similar to the one which leaked recently.
